Banned Books Week also bothers me every year, lol. CA someone please DO SOME ROOT CAUSE analysis and do more than point out the most challenged books of the year? That entire week should be devoted to recruiting candidates for local school and library boards. Set a goal of recruiting 5000 candidates

Plz connect with your local mutual aid networks (or start one if needed), with local Rapid Response to ICE, with Pride Centers, etc. Support food banks & libraries - formal & otherwise. We really are all we have, & that requires relationships, care work, & showing up in quiet & unglamorous ways.

Étoile (on the evil/est streaming site) is SOOOOO good. I think the last show that excited me this much was Man Like Mobeen (whose last season is currently airing & I cannot wait for it to stream where I can get it.) I love a lot of shows, so this is saying an awful lot.
