Chronic pain patients and patients on MAT (medically assisted treatment for substance use disorder) often have their medication refills scheduled down to the *day* -- they can't refill in advance. This will immediately plunge thousands of people into withdrawals, relapses, and unbearable pain.

If Democrats were a competent opposition party, they would have been prepared for this. They would have elected officials in front of cameras with seniors who rely on Meals on Wheels or vets who can't get a VA appointment or any of the myriad Americans whose lives are being upended by this chaos.
