What an obsequious, toadying, servile, brown-nosing, corrupt little cunt Gianni Infantino is.

The FIFA 'peace prize' is the most cringe-worthy, pathetic thing I've ever seen in my life.

Football deserves better than this travesty of a ceremony and ruling body.

Lowe doesn't need the money but the 'thrill' of engagment can be just as corrupting as the love of cash & if engagement/cash increase according to the extremity of the opinions expressed then you need integrity to resist the temptation to become ever more offensive. This is what Musk has engineered.
Human trafficking.

Rupert Lowe makes more money from using Elon Musk’s website than any other MP.

There is money to be made from mass deportations and talking about mass deportations.

Is there a prominent Brexiter left who hasn’t torn off their mask to reveal the rancid racism beneath? Boris Johnson’s chief fluffer accusing anyone else of being over-promoted is peak process. The bitterness of insanely privileged men with empty souls knows no bounds.
For anyone still tempted to take Dominic Cummings at all seriously, he's now an advocate of Donald Trump-style open racism.

The logic that as energy has fixed costs that MUST all be paid by a Standing charge is flawed.

Pubs have fixed costs. Yet you don't pay a monthly pub-access-subscription then a unit rate for each pint on top.

A pint's cost incorporates the fixed cost, as many industries' do.

We have all become addicted to drama, scandal & hyperbole. Some of us are trying to wean ourselves off it & focus on stuff like this. But it can sometimes feel like being a vegetarian at a barbecue.
At the risk of sounding like a government spokesperson, I wonder if we're too gloomy. NHS waiting times are falling, as are net migration numbers. Growth hasn't been fast, but it's improved. Real wages are growing. Inflation is a bit sticky, but much reduced.

I can only think this is all part of the genius' master plan, to explode rockets in mid air, accidentally fire and rehire federal workers, tank a successful social media platform after paying way over the odds for it, and then oversee the plummeting of an electric car firm..its all so bloody clever

This week’s column. Some (not all) of the coverage I have seen of Myles Lewis Skelly over the last 10 days or so has bothered me. It’s clear many of us are still not mindful enough and do not take due care with language and framing when it comes to talking about black footballers 👇🏻

It has struck me for years that if the Tories are really that incensed about Sadiq Khan being mayor of London, they could try doing something novel such as running a candidate against him who is any good whatsoever and has at least a theoretical chance of winning.

Yes, I will repeat, but I have a fraction of the following here compared to twitter and posts are engaged with and responded to far, far more on Bluesky at the moment. It’s partially a decision of conscience but it also just makes sense for my ‘business’
The engagement on these posts is soooo much higher than what the Guardian was getting on Twitter by the end.

And principles are one thing but if you're a publisher wanting to drive traffic then Twitter hiding external links means it's probably more beneficial to your business to be on here.
By popular demand… the Guardian is officially on BlueSky
