They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

richtig geil fuer bullen wenn sie kuenftig jede verantwortung noch mehr von sich weisen koennen wenn sie wieder mal zu unrecht grundrechte wie unverletzlichkeit der wohnung aussetzen oder der triggerfinger noch lockerer sitzt weil palantir substanzlos eine abstrakte gefahr prognostiziert hat
#Palantir auf Steroiden? Der Landtag NRW will heute beschließen, dass die Software auch mit KI genutzt werden darf (bisher nicht) – das führt zu noch mehr Intransparenz und Diskriminierungrisiken. Außerdem sollen Echtdaten der Polizei über die Bevölkerung zum Trainieren von KI genutzt werden dürfen.

It's kinda miserable watching what happened to musicians happen to authors. Traditional publishing getting less and less interested in doing the things that help people starting out and instead looking to parasitise the work they do to build their own audiences is the record company model.
