New Mexico is overriding the federal government on the topic of COVID19 vaccines to ensure their residents can access them.

States hold a tremendous amount of public health power. They should use it.

why do transphobes have a fucking monopoly on "having some concerns about fairness", can i have a concern about the fairness of normalizing kids getting their genitals inspected by strange adults for reasons entirely unrelated to health or hygiene as a prerequisite for peewee soccer?

Sometimes we’re unsatisfied with a thing we made because when it only existed in our head, we saw all the things it could have been and when it’s done we know all the things that it isn’t, but we can’t see the way it expands into a million new things when someone else unpacks it in their head. 🖊️🦑

listen my approach to herbalism is this: these nice things may happen if you drink this tea, they may not; but worst case scenario, you just had a nice cup of tea

New Mexico has issued a public health order that removes federal restrictions to COVID-19 vaccine access so that pharmacies in New Mexico can vaccinate people of all ages and risk profiles. Every state need to do this!

To be clear: "Might Is Right" sucks, both as a book and ideology. It's full of doggerel, bigotry, and contradictions.

But we're gonna talk about it, chapter-by-chapter, from the perspective of modern, anarchist Satanists who feel that racism, misogyny, antisemitism, and tyranny are "bad, actually".

How many people trot out "purity testing" (a thought-terminating cliché) to avoid acknowledging that human rights for all humans is the lowest baseline possible for the definition of a decent person? Or that Pelosi and others backed Cuellar, an anti-abortion 'democrat', using the same reasoning?

The trans community has to swallow a bitter pill. You want freedom? You want a future day where honor & respect exists?

Then vote for the popular democrat, even if it’s an anti-trans candidate.

Trump & MAGA must be removed. Freedom does not come with a perfect rainbow. 🌈

if the family makes more than $200k or so a year and is white and the parents are cishet and the kid isn’t trans and nobody’s neurodivergent…

…. nah, not even then. calling cps is for “this child is in immediate physical danger severe enough that even foster care would be better”

yeah, just having contact with CPS can cause real problems for a family that didn't earn them. Prudence doesn't seem to appreciate how dire a visit from CPS can be

Since it's a topic many people are talking about today, just want to share some resources I have found helpful when responding to someone who is actively experiencing suicidal thoughts, bc most of us are only ever told to post a hotline number and not how to actually *respond*
The times I've helped someone when they've been actively ideating, my experience was you have to walk a very fine line of validating the *feeling*- "I know you're in pain + feel like a burden-" while then *immediately* following up with "-but that's not true, your brain isn't telling you the truth"
