Trump tried to illegally fire Commissioner Slaughter.

Now she’s reinstated — and getting back to work for the American people, taking action after Republicans killed the FTC’s Click to Cancel rule.

She’s doing what the FTC should be doing: standing up for consumers.

Comedy is supposed to be dangerous to the powerful. When corporate media bends the knee to a would-be authoritarian by purging the comedians who speak truth, it sends a chilling message: Trump is off-limits.

This is just the start. If CBS thought they could quietly pull the plug, they were wrong.

Let’s be clear: This is political censorship. Just as CBS’ parent company handed Trump $16 million to settle a spurious lawsuit, this decision is about preemptively bowing to a regime that demands obedience.

We stand with Stephen Colbert and every voice that Trump wants silenced.

CBS's decision marks a dangerous new stage for the culture at large.

Zohran Mamdani says, "For too long, politicians have pretended that we're spectators to that crisis of affordability. We're actually actors, and we have the choice to exacerbate it, like mayor Adams has done, or to respond to it and resolve it, like I'm planning to do."

Iceland was the brave bank-sacrificing outlier/dissonant.
Looking back, nothing really "radicalized" me more than watching 2008 unfold from a good vantage point.

I had argued myself to the effect that there isn't enough money to save the world - and then saw a bottomless purse open in mere weeks to save the banks, and especially the bankers.
I don't want to hear "we can't afford it" one more time from Labour.

Not while they continue to reinforce their Brexit red lines.

The amount of money being left on the table by not seeking to rejoin the EU is eye-watering.

The tax lost to Brexit would have paid for everything Labour needed.

Don’t get it twisted—today’s SCOTUS ruling makes it harder for courts to fully block dangerous policies like Trump’s attack on birthright citizenship.

Once again, they’re bending the law to serve him instead of defending the Constitution.

It’s shameful.

SJC is wrong, uphold human rights and due process for migrants
Text SIGN PUNDGT to 50409 — The Supreme Court's decision to allow swift deportation of migrants to locations other than their home countries is an egregious violation of human rights and due process. Deporting individuals to unsafe third countries like South Sudan, which is plagued by violence and turmoil, exposes them to grave risks of torture, persecution, and even death.   Justice Sotomayor rightly condemned this order, warning that it puts "thousands to the risk of torture or death." This callous disregard for human life and dignity is unacceptable. The government's actions defy basic principles of justice and fairness. Denying migrants a meaningful opportunity to challenge deportations to potentially dangerous third countries tramples on their legal rights.   As Justice Sotomayor stated, the Trump regime feels "unconstrained by law, free to deport anyone anywhere without notice or an opportunity to be heard." This arbitrary exercise of power cannot be tolerated in a nation built on the rule of law. Congress must act swiftly to counter this miscarriage of justice.   Passing legislation to ensure robust due process protections for all deportation proceedings, including the right to contest removal to third countries, is imperative. The human cost of allowing these deportations to proceed unchecked is simply too high. Lawmakers have a moral obligation to rein in this unconscionable policy and uphold America's commitment to human rights and fair treatment under the law.

Justice Sotomayor said it best: the conservative majority is “rewarding lawlessness.”

Migrants are being deported—without notice or due process—to countries they’ve never even set foot in.

This is what happens when the Court starts playing politics.
