Minneapolis workers are the best among us. Facing freezing temps to peacefully stand for truth, freedom, and calling for ICE to leave Minnesota is true solidarity in action.
Live: Scores of Minnesota businesses close in protest of ICE enforcement
Restaurants, museums, schools and nonprofits closed their doors as part of an “ICE Out” demonstration. Despite the frigid weather, a crowd of protesters gathered in downtown Minneapolis.

After weeks on the line, Montefiore and Mount Sinai nurses are moving toward new contracts that protect nurses and patient safety. That’s real progress. Now it’s time for New York-Presbyterian to come to a fair deal that does the same.

Our @sbworkersunited.org baristas at corporate stores are asking customers to #DeleteTheApp to show you stand with workers, not billion-dollar corporations. Deleting the Starbucks app sends a message: there's no business as usual while union-busting.

We marched in the freezing cold today because young workers refuse to accept a rigged economy. Rent is out of control. Child care is unaffordable. Student debt is endless. Young workers with AFGE and all our unions are organizing for a future they can actually thrive in.

President Trump's new rule makes it easier to fire career federal workers and replace them with political loyalists, driving out experts and scaring the rest into silence.

Yesterday I joined @californialabor.bsky.social to call on lawmakers to prioritize AI safety guardrails. Working people can’t wait while Big Tech writes the rules around us. Pass common-sense protections for workers. Bring us to the table now.

Yesterday, I stood with other labor leaders from around the country at @californialabor.bsky.social's press conference on AI and the future of work. Decisions made now will shape working people’s lives for decades. Workers deserve real AI guardrails, accountability, and respect for their work.

Big news: a federal judge blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to end TPS for more than 350,000 Haitians. That’s a win for workers who live and work here legally and keep our communities running. This fight isn’t over, but this is a victory.
