Yesterday, Mount Sinai nurses gathered to speak out on the urgent need for a fair contract that protects patient care and the nurses. Later that evening, there was an active shooter in and near the main entrance of the Mount Sinai ED.

As the Bronx's largest healthcare provider and employer, Montefiore has a responsibility to meet the health needs of its community. Instead, they have been cutting beds and eliminating patient services. Nurses spoke out and demanded Montefiore invests in the community and its nurses!
