Nurses at Flushing Medical Center and The Brooklyn Hospital Center have made progress during bargaining!

Currently, nearly 16k nurses at 5 New York City hospitals and nearly 1k nurses at 3 Long Island hospitals are still set to strike on Jan 12 – in just 5 days.

More than 16,700 nurses at 7 private sector hospitals are still planning to strike beginning Jan. 12, unless they can reach fair contracts first.

BREAKING: Today, NYSNA nurses at 12 NYC private sector hospitals and 3 Long Island Northwell Health hospitals delivered 10-day notices to strike. NYSNA will continue to bargain between now and January 12th in the hopes of reaching agreements.

All 12 hospitals have yet to negotiate fair contracts.

Nurses experience some of the highest rates of workplace violence while on the frontlines. However, NYC hospitals are refusing to agree to new rates or continue existing healthcare benefits.

NYC Mount Sinai nurses are united! Last night, Mount Sinai nurses from Main Hospital, Morningside, and West gathered in the cold for a vigil in solidarity with the Main nurses who were unfairly disciplined for speaking out for health and safety at the hospital!

NYSNA nurses from Plainview and Syosset hospitals delivered a "Dear CEO" letter to management! The letter calls on Northwell Health CEO and President Dr. John D'Angelo help get contract negotiations back on track, and to take action in defense of safe patient care on Long Island.
