1. get my French from early B2 to C1
2. Lose 15 kg and get in shape
3. Walk at least 15k steps a day
4. Go to the cinema at least once a month
5. Start using a proper to-do list

🤦🏻‍♂️ an ideological hypothesis that we know isn’t supported. Fact free ideology
The Left claims gun control stops these tragedies, but it actually disarms the law-abiding. We have a right to defend ourselves. Gun-free zones just create soft targets for criminals who don’t follow rules anyway. True safety comes from an armed and free citizenry.

As Gisèle Pelicot's new memoir, “A Hymn to Life: Shame Has to Change Sides,” is set to hit the shelves next week, Pelicot, 73, is speaking out and revealing what she had so far shared only in the French courtroom where her rapists were convicted and sentenced. https://cnn.it/4tu595g

The Labour party's vetting process seems to amount to simply asking people if they've done anything wrong. It's beyond parody.

Thanks to everyone who came to the Bluesky drinks tonight and those who couldn't quite make it and people who prodded me to invite other people. Lots of fun, and the UK's problems sorted. I'm sure we'll all feel the improvements soon.😀

I just watched her defend Starmer on Ch4 and she does not give the impression of being one of the sharpest tools in the box as it were.

I had a colleague who did her undergrad at Villanova, or Vanillanova* as she called it

There's been interesting research on sexual offenders- who tend to do lots of every sort of crime.

So if they are investigated on the assumption that they are serial criminals, this usually turns out to be the case.

then do it jfc do it

this is quite incredible stuff, what an utter shitshow the Starmer operation is proving to be. Rank amateurs
Almost impossible to get across how strongly a former foreign office head must feel about Antonia Romeo's potential appointment as cabinet secretary to make this intervention (from 11 mins in or so)

I ordered it and didn’t realise I’d ordered the French version.

And I’d include the UK here too where people are also being held to account.

Ah yes you’re from here, I forgot

Would be interested to hear Gary Neville's thoughts on that racist cunt running the club he helped make.

Comments like this should get you driven out of town. I expect your Gary Neville’s / Roy Keane’s and the Man Utd terraces to go in hard and drive him out.

I’ve spent some time in Singapore the last week or so visiting companies/meeting executives, mainly working/investing in sustainability projects or industries where it matters. All of them rave about the EU and say that it’s companies are the most investable by far.

In any kind of functioning system, what Bondi is doing would see her in contempt immediately and suspended from legal practice pending a disbarring application by lunchtime tomorrow.

That she will instead remain in charge of federal law enforcement should tell any investor there is no US law left.

Which is, ironically, the reason why there’s no profitable B2C business case for OpenAI. Local, cheap Chinese LLMs will do that.

Am torn about this chart - it shows that despite the always defeatists talk, Europe and the EU in particular have stepped up for their security.

However, it also shows that the level of support is still notably smaller, and in consequence Ukraine has suffered.
Quite the chart

That’s what most normies do though.

it’s not that people are inherently more / less corrupt in different societies it’s that incentive structures make people behave more/less corruptly.

I drive better in France than in Turkey because in France they take your licence away, in Turkey they fine you a pitiful amount
