One of the reasons why countries like Turkey are poorly understood outside Turkey is because interlocutors are so awful. This is absolute nonsense (and I’d know given some family connections). US universities have been awful but holding up Bogazici as an example. Jfc

These numbers are mad: to give context Euro has increased against TL about 450% in 5 years meaning that restaurants prices in Turkey have doubled in Euros in 5 years while food prices have increased around 60% in Euros. Madness.
