Watched the whole interview this morning. Got to this monologue as I was bumbling around making coffee.

He gets about five lines in in before I burst into tears over the stove.

Incredible performance. Such a well crafted lead up and impeccable timeliness. A pair of bloody wizards.
Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

I was wondering the same thing, maybe they're saving his announcement for later, it'd grab lots of air-time...

In 1974 Captain America hung up his shield and became Nomad (The man without a country) because he found out a politician, very heavily hinted to be Nixon, is the leader of a terrorist organisation.

We’re building tools to try and widen the scope of a couple of those sets, but effort required to do that (improve accuracy, reduce impact of fuckup) essentially undoes all the benefits lauded by the technology in the first place. So what you get is normal automation + LLM cherry on top.

BREAKING: Nigel Farage has been reported to police by a former member of his campaign team over claims of falsified election expenses. Given the serious nature of the allegations the Met’s specialist crime group will assess the documents that have been submitted.

Also, a lesson to every DOJ lawyer & law enforcement official. A lesson to everyone.
Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.

It's gold-rush time, lots of firms think it's appropriate to allocate budget to AI because there's a FOMO, and worse, a *belief* (where from?) that customers want their favourite firms to be "AI-powered". Naturally, lots of vendors and consultants are ready to help spend that budget, on mostly shit.

How many more Ukip, Brexit Party and Reform, have taken bribes from Putin / Russia?

Hmm... The pro-Putin anti-Europe identity is baked into Reform, and much of the new Right movement across Europe and beyond.. it is not simply that they admire his strength and cultural conservatism, but that they share his - and Trump's - goal of a weakened Europe. And Russian funded some of them.

Exactly, it's all been like ghost-stories around a camp-fire: "She *might* do this" <woooh!> or, "How disastrous would it be if she *actually* did that?" <waahh!>

If there's something to report, then report - but all this fluff hasn't informed anyone.
