The Guadeloupe River @ Comfort, Texas rose 12.93 feet in 15 minutes this morning. That's 10.34" per minute or an inch every 6 SECONDS. That's one of the fastest rises I've ever seen. Very hard to get away from that kind of flash flooding.

Today marks 40 years since the last F-5 tornado in Ohio, with 260+ mph winds tearing through parts of Portage and Trumbull Counties (eventually crossing into Pennsylvania). For the record, we've also had no EF-5s in OH since the US switched over to the Enhanced Fujita scale in 2007.
