And here is the same, but for all 13 storms in the entire season so far. "OFCL" is the NHC's forecast, and "GDMI" is the Google #DeepMind ensemble mean and is the leading model for both track and intensity this season.

The incredibly slow forward speed of Hurricane Melissa means Jamaica, Cuba, Haiti and the Domincan R. are experiencing Category 5 hurricane strength for DAYS instead of hours. The storm won't fully exit the Caribbean until Wednesday.

From a crewmember on yesterday's Teal 74 mission into now-Category 5 Hurricane #Melissa. As clear of an eye as you will see in the Atlantic basin.
