Central Park NYC did not report the snowflakes that people saw in Times Square on their hourly obs (LGA did), but KNYC did record a Trace of snow in their CLI report for 12/31, as did other stations in the area (see map, note Baltimore/DC/Philly also reported a Trace.

I somehow forgot to post this yesterday. Juneau, Alaska has seen 4 feet of snow this week & nearly a season's worth this month! Roofs are threatening to collapse and the snow has sunk boats! www.accuweather.com/en/winter-we...

To back up what I said here accuweather.com/en/winter-we... this week's cyclone only made it 1 mb above bomb status (24mb/24hr) once as far as my analysis of WPC maps showed.

In Saint Louis, the high temperature on Sunday at 3 p.m. was 78 degrees, but dropped to 22 degrees at midnight and 19 degrees by 3 a.m. Monday.

Mammoth Mountain, California got buried by 73 inches of snow this week. This is their webcam at the top Dec. 23, 26 & 27th, where drifts were even higher, such as the one that covered their ~20-foot summit sign.
