Last winter, PBOT ran the city's first-ever snowplow naming contest. Portlanders submitted hundreds of creative names, and then, in January 2025, over 16,000 people used ranked choice voting to select the top names for five of the city's 56 snowplows.

The EPA move follows news the administration wants to scrap the satellites that measure carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

If you can't measure it and don't know where it's coming from, it becomes very difficult to reduce or eliminate it (or hold anybody accountable for damages).

I gave my dog all the vaccines until I found out she's immune compromised (her sister, too). I'd do anything to keep my dog safe from rabies and parvo so we stay away from dog parks, daycare, etc. Sounds just like a human problem I've heard about.
Dogs are getting vaccinated less and rabies rates are rising, in part because 37% of Americans think vaccines will give their dogs... pawtism.
