Someone in his administration told him he ended 8 wars. And that GDP is awesome. And that he's creating jobs. And that his poll numbers are great. Trump doesn't have a clue what's going on, he only knows what he's told.

You probably heard the US admin is threatening to break up the National Center for Atmospheric Research: but did you know they already froze funding for the 9 regional Climate Science Adaptation Centers? From tracking invasives to helping tribes with drought, here's why the CASCs matter ⬇️

Alternate media is now essential media, because the "mainstream" press is no longer reporting on essential stories, including the rapid decaying of Trump's mind and body.

Finished this excellent book from @michaelemann.bsky.social and @peterhotezmdphd.bsky.social.

Strong insights describing how we got into this mess — primarily via plutocrats, petrostates, and propaganda.

And outlining the work required to get us out of this dark place and move forward.

I’ve seen thousands of posts about welfare fraud from right-wingers on social media, which should be prosecuted if people committed crimes, but zero posts about the dozens of wealthy rich fraudsters who stole billions from thousands of people who have been pardoned by Trump.

Windy. Warm start today. Lots of clouds, but only a passing shower — no consistent rain.

Clearing this afternoon and temperatures *falling into the 40s* by this evening.

Wind gusting to 35 mph today.

Watching a system for potential rain on Saturday, but looks like it will be too far south.

A beloved RVA figure killed by a driver in broad daylight is a tragedy made worse by how preventable it was. City leaders love touting Vision Zero, but dither on redesigning demonstrably dangerous roads out of incompetence, lack of urgency, fear of inconveniencing drivers, etc. This is the result.
