$825,000 is coming home for firefighter training in the Sauk Valley!

I’ve been fighting for this funding for years, all so firefighters have the tools and training they need when seconds matter.

Republicans’ “Save America Act” doesn’t save us from anything. Instead, it will block millions of eligible Americans from registering to vote. Our democracy only works if every citizen has the ability to participate in the voting process.

Correctional officers show up every day under tough conditions. I’m proud to support bipartisan legislation to raise pay, reduce forced overtime, and improve safety at federal prisons in Illinois and across the country.

I will keep saying it: the Epstein Files should be released for everyone to see.

No protection for the offenders.

Thanks to WJBC Radio in Bloomington-Normal for having me on this morning to talk about what’s important.

A Quad Citizen, through and through, Frank Klipsch was a genuine leader. I will remember his kindness, his impact leading the Scott County Family YMCA for decades, and his service to Davenport as Mayor. From the Illinois side of the river, my deepest sympathies. www.wqad.com/article/news...

DID YOU KNOW? The longest continuously operated bakery in Illinois is in Peoria Heights!

Trefzger’s has been serving the Peoria area for 165 years and business is going strong.

So proud to support small businesses who are the heart and soul of Illinois. (Thumbprint cookies are to die for!)

One of the most impactful parts of my job is nominating young people to serve their country in Service Academies. Congratulations to our nominees for the Class of 2030!

I’m proud to nominate them and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in service to the people of this country.

Family farmers and working families are paying the price for bad trade policy.
That’s why I introduced the Farm and Family Relief Act—to lower costs, protect farmers, and help families afford the cost of life.

I led a roundtable in Peoria with local leaders, nonprofits, and neighbors to talk about affordable housing and homelessness.

We’ve made progress by securing funding for local housing projects, but we still have a lot of work to do to fight the challenges impacting the housing market.

What a great time hearing from residents at Heritage Woods in Moline!

Listening and learning from seniors reminds me how important it is to support dignity, compassion, and quality care for neighbors at any age.

This Black History Month, we honor the generations of Black leaders, artists, educators, and activists who shaped our country and our communities. Their contributions, resilience, and courage continue to move us forward.

Let’s celebrate Black history—not just this month, but every day.

I hope you’ll join me in praying for swift healing for the deputy shot last night in Peoria. My thoughts are with every brave peace officer who works in service and protection of all people.

Visited the Amazon Hub at the Greater Rockford Airport to learn more about day-to-day operations and the jobs driving our regional economy.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to hear directly from leadership and workers about how we can support continued growth and success here in Northern Illinois.

Great conversation in Freeport this week touring the YMCA and discussing Vision 2030 and the Healthy Living Campus project.

Investing in healthy communities means supporting the local leaders and programs that help families thrive now and into the future.

I was honored to receive the “People’s Champion Award” from our friends at the Communications Workers of America in Rockford today.

Grateful to hear directly from them about their priorities. I’ll always stand with working people and fight for fair pay, strong unions, and respect on the job.

3M in Cordova employs 500 of our neighbors, making innovative products right here at home.

I met with their leadership to discuss future growth and their $200 million recommitment to being a better steward of water resources and the Mississippi River.

Bethany for Children & Families is an essential resource for thousands of local children and families in the Quad Cities each year.

I am thankful for their work and I commit to fighting for programs like Medicaid and SNAP which are necessary for the future of our kids and families.

Always a blast visiting the QCCA Farm Show and meeting with local farmers and ag leaders.

It’s important to learn how farm equipment and sustainable practices are evolving—and how we can support progress in agriculture.

Today, we honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and his lasting call to serve others.

Dr. King reminded us that “Everybody can be great, because everybody can serve.”

On this MLK Day, let’s recommit to kindness, fairness, and lifting up our neighbors and communities.

Thank you General Mingus and Undersecretary of the Army Obadal for giving me the chance to show off our Rock Island Arsenal.

The men and women here do incredible work building the next generation of military equipment that keep our servicemembers safe and protect our national security.

So many of you in #IL17 have shared your stories about being priced out of health care. What’s happening today is wrong and my sights remain focused on lowering the cost of families being healthy.
