Spotify’s founder, Daniel Ek, is another techno-fascist billionaire.

He’s invested in AI that specializes in war, surveillance and violence, so it’s no surprise he’s fine with running ICE ads on Spotify.

If you haven’t already, cancel your Spotify subscriptions. Let’s make them feel like Disney+.

Farage has pledged to spread material from US based Hillsdale College. They are rabidly transphobic and linked to Project 2025 and the Heritage Foundation.

JK Rowling, Sex Matters, and the Times etc swim in the same pond. They're now attacking the European Commission for 'poisoning children'.

This is grim & dangerous over reach.

This is a government that have lost the moral argument & are still selling arms to Israel. Now further cracking down on dissent.

Absolutely the opposite of what they should be doing - so of course this is what the Labour Government choose.
NEW: Home Office announces planned new anti-protest powers, mainly aimed at pro-Gaza protests like those for Palestine Action. Police will be able to consider the "cumulative impact" of repeated protests and potentially order that they be relocated.

Richard Tice with his Reform chum Nathan Gill, who has just admitted taking bribes for spreading Kremlin misinformation. What could be more patriotic than that?

What has Yvette Cooper’s proscription of Palestine Action done to this country?

Beyond absurd. It’s extreme authoritarianism. These police should be arresting rapists & crooks, not neglecting those duties to spend time arresting citizens standing against genocide.

It undermines police and the law.

Keir Starmer's aides are reportedly telling him not to go to the COP30 climate conference, because Reform would attack him for it.
Yes, they might.
And he should wear it as a badge of honour.
Standing up for humanity, for science and a habitable planet.
Where's the hazard in that?

Musk is inciting violence on London's streets.Tommy Robinson is financed by US tech bros. These are all very direct attempts to destabilise the British state.

Starmer needs to stand up to this. A government that doesn't defend its country's values against these blatant attacks is not doing its job.

I have never been so disappointed in a BBC piece. Breathless admiration is, as far as I knew, not the role of the BBC’s political editor when describing a party political conference. Description+detail yes, rigorous examination of the conference content, yes. This, absolutely no, in my opinion.
Chris Mason: Reform conference shows party's growing ambition like never before
The conference feels like that of a big party - but retains the insurgency vibe that the party is seeking to channel.

Where has this ludicrous ECHR "debate" even come from.

I've never once met an ordinary member of the public who's said to me, "Do you know what? We REALLY need to leave the ECHR."

It's just a new right wing talking point because every other shit idea they've foisted on us has run out of steam.

Farage is whipping up anger against the ECHR with false claims. As The Bear brilliantly writes: “The ECHR [is] the foundation that protects you from your own government.”

That's why leaving the ECHR would be a Really Bad Idea.
Leaving the ECHR won’t “Take Back Control” – it will hand your rights to politicians
The myths are seductive, the reality is very different – without the ECHR your freedoms rest on whichever Home Secretary wakes up grumpy

Not his description of "invasion", not his prediction that the UK on brink of civil war, not plans to pay the Taliban or Iran to take back migrants, or indeed to rule out doing so themselves.
August 26, 2025 at 5:22 PM
Farage isn't talking about reforming the Human Rights Act - he's talking about tearing it all up. Reminder - it enshrines the right to life, liberty, a fair trial, and freedom from torture and discrimination. Not just immigrants - these are rights that we'll ALL lose if he gets a sniff of power.

What Reform’s “detain and deport” really means:

❌ Sending people to torture and death.
❌ Making the UK a rogue state outside international law.
❌ Higher prices as leaving the ECHR wrecks our EU trade deal.

This is not about control, it is about cruelty - we must stand against it.
