I think about this so much when compared to the "Grindset" movement. In a lot of ways, it feels like the same unending lust for money/security/status, with the only difference being the lower probability of actual, concrete success.
Both mindsets are trash, but at least the former got results.

Anybody in community with the older generation knows they're more capitalist than us. Those are their real strong values. They believe in capitalism strongly. It rewarded a lot of them, of course not all. We reject it more who come next because it looks like shit to us & it's never worked for us.
