While I get the sentiment I worry that boycotting things like writing tenure letters is going to do more to undermine academic freedom than the university has already done and be especially harmful to critical scholars and/or scholars from marginalized backgrounds who are already under attack
I wonder if the Columbia leadership realizes (or cares) how much blowback there might be from *within* the academy.
