Cyclists are (part of) the answer to congestion and traffic violence, not the problem. Cars ruin everything I love. They're literally killing us. Sighthounds rule. Save the Galgo. Fender > Gibson. 🍁
OK, what the fuck does "T&S" mean in the context of this post?
There's nothing a T&S team can do to "earn trust", because every single decision you make, even if it's 100% consistent, will always have one party upset with the outcome and incentivized to present their case to the court of public opinion in as distorted/favorable-to-them light as possible!

Seems like it's well past time to do something about these so-called "cars".

It is bullshit. No acknowledgment of the fact pedestrians are being killed by drivers in their cars WHILE walking on the sidewalk. It resoundingly ain’t a person on a bike that’ll be the death of you, it’ll be a culture that prioritises a person in a 2 tonne metal box and to hell with everyone else.

Have real estate prices in NYC crashed with the million-or-so people leaving as promised? How's the bridge and tunnel traffic?

A typical European car is parked 92% of the time. It spends 1/5th of its driving time looking for parking. Its 5 seats only move 1.5 people. 86% of its fuel never reaches the wheels, and most of the energy that does, moves the car, not the people.

Sound efficient?

Leave your ebike at home and drive a car instead, which is statistically 1000x more likely to kill a pedestrian.

Your brain on cars.
Very frustrating to still see public campaigns like this from Delta PD telling kids to wear bright reflectors on their costumes and people to leave their bikes at home.

The risk to pedestrians on Halloween comes from drivers, not cyclists.

"E-bike owners are reminded to leave their bikes at home on Halloween."

When have the cops ever — EVER — advised drivers to leave their cars at home for the sake of kids' safety? Give me a single example.

Another reminder that a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.
