Why do drivers bang on about cyclists wearing hi viz and helmets when they can't even avoid poles that have lights on them? If they can knock over a metal pole then a helmet won't do much.

The problem is those roads are failing structurally and all they can do is make is safe rather than perform preventative maintenance.
These areas will be getting to the point that big sections need rebuilding and that's way more like £250 per square metre.

Had to tweak yet more things on my mapping system on #WillCycle but will leave it as is now.
The route filters are perfect, and the overlay data (cafés, pubs, bike shops & rainfall) works.
I had wind and pollution, too, but the data wasn't meaningful, so I removed that.

The Home Office now describes asylum seekers as "illegal immigrants [living in hotels]" with no reference to the reason that these people are in government-funded accommodation is that this government has taken & will process the asylum claim from them in 98-99% of cases of unauthorised entry.
