Now is the time to speak up for justice. We're grateful to Judge Mark L. Wolf, a DOJ alum, and every public servant standing up fearlessly to defend the rule of law and democracy before it's too late.
“I no longer can bear to be restrained by what judges can say publicly or do outside the courtroom,” Judge Mark L. Wolf writes on his decision to resign from the federal bench. “President Trump is using the law for partisan purposes”: https://theatln.tc/XgppPPfA

We're officially live. It's incredibly important to have a real record of how our public servants are behaving and this database will be a powerful tool for researchers, reporters, and ordinary Americans.
1/6 A new standard for public accountability is here. GLOW—Government Lawyers Oversight Watchdog—is officially launching today to hold government lawyers accountable. We're unveiling The Government Lawyers Database at glowlaw.org. #RuleOfLaw #Accountability

It’s time for new leadership when you see elected officials airing it out like this. The sooner we can agree that we need new leaders who can read the room, the better.
In response to this claim that the "strategy didn't work."

The people were on our side. We were building momentum to help save our democracy. We could have won - the premium increase notices were just starting.

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

Shaheen took my friend's heartfelt video and put her office's message and logo at the end

& then she caved last night

Using Amanda as a mouthpiece & then voting the way you did is despicable, Jeanne

Amanda MAY REALLY NOT SURVIVE losing healthcare

SHAME on you, Shaheen
& shame on your office too!

if a district court says to do a thing, entities are reasonably going to act on it, notwithstanding the possibility of a request for a stay. We can't just start assuming that the federal government will seek and successfully obtain stays, that would be pretty ominous!
Becker: Some states didn't even wait for guidance, they just acted on the RI judge's order

Judge Talwani: But you're saying everyone is supposed to act like there's a stay when there isn't one.

Becker: States jumped the gun, blah blah blah

My advocacy for the term “surface tension level of understanding” continues to accrue evidentiary support
It critic hit him because he constantly pretends he reads/watches movies but you can tell he kind of Wikipedia skims the surface and doesn't know the material (much like his "gaming" hobby).

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Following up on this. This remains a ‘cave is minutes or hours away’ situation. If you want to impact how this plays out you need to contact senators literally now. I want to add additional points of context. What I’m relaying is what I’ve picked up from highly reliable sources.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Called Mark Warner’s office and let the voicemail have it. We just swept our elections here in VA and Republicans need to be forced to govern in a sane way, while they remain in office.

That means reopening the government AND making sure health care costs don’t skyrocket.

I asked Georgetown law prof David Super wtf is going on with this latest demand for states to claw back benefits already sent out.
He says the law doesn't allow for this, and if the USDA is mad that states already sent out SNAP money, too bad—they were following USDA's own guidance. Full comments:
