On July 20, 2025, provincial prosecutor C. Alan Runyan submitted his resignation to Archbishop Wood, in which he called for public transparency regarding the trial and stated that the trial process had been “irreparably tainted.” The Province states that Ruch’s trial will resume on August 11, 2025.

I have not been able to stop thinking about this one since I read the presentment. He valued *his* child enough to check on her safety, but everyone else's kids could wait 2 years.

The extract from the presentment in the quoted post still boggles my brain. He had a lay leader showing children pornography and his response was that this was "immature"?!
