Leaving aside ridiculous failure that this could occur with a childrens product, here is the immediate guidance from WCC:

1) Place in a plastic bag, put that plastic bag in another plastic bag & tape shut
2) Label 'Contains Asbestos'

Contaminated sand ⚠️

I've had several emails asking about where/how to dispose of the Anko kinetic sand sold by Kmart which is potentially contaminated with asbestos.

Kmart's guidance thus far is just to "contact your local council for disposal".

It's lovely when people ask to buy multiple copies of your book to give away at an event they want you to speak at. It's less nice when they do that instead of offering a fee.

Peeps. An author might get ~NZ$2 per copy. And they won't receive it til their next royalty cheque.

PAY YOUR SPEAKERS.

I’ve just checked a copy-edit of the piece the Humboldt Forum commissioned me to write and had the pleasant feeling of reading my work and thinking: “oh that’s not too bad”*

I've been seeing a lot of people describe being nauseous after reading articles discussing people being driven to suicide by ChatGPT, or being unable to stop thinking about it:

That sounds to me like possible symptoms of exposure to traumatising media, and this has tools for looking after yourself.
