As an Asian guy living in Missouri, I’m getting real annoyed with people (inadvertently?) running cover for white racists in white majority Southern states by appealing to the mere existence of non-white people there.
Most of the Black people in the US still live in the south. Of the counties in the US with majority Black populations, the majority are in the south. When you hear someone talking like this, they are being racist as fuck and telling you to write off Black southerners.
There is no secret vanguard of the revolution awaiting to be activated by the perfect maoist leader, the south is held back by it’s own bigotry and it’ll kill itself to stay that way

I mean, like it or not, a bunch of US men seem to be specifically looking for “American Kirill“ out of the belief that “True Orthodoxy” is closest thing available to medieval Catholicism (no matter how wrong they may be in actuality).

You should be concerned. It's not the faith that's attracting them it's the older rituals and traditions that Catholics dumped after Vatican II. The older style Mass, women covering their hair, all the things they can try to use in a toxic way.
