This reminds me whatever happened to that weird case he had?
I woke up and the first video I saw was Touré saying that white dude who called a Black ICE agent a 'house nigga' was in the right and that he's okay with white people saying it specifically to Black ICE agents. He then made a second video and doubled down.

During Black History Month no less....

On my flight today, a chatty lady said, “I can’t go to New York with all that’s going on over there.” And I said, “What? Free child care?” And she stopped talking to me.

When we had a movement to tell America our lives mattered, they said hahahaha no you don't!
The man who was killed last night wasn't the first Black man killed by government forces in DC since the government occupation of DC. He's like the 6th or 7th. If you're Black, you know that's how it is, no one makes a fuss over our murders & they're not big news.

Sundown towns exist in Canada too! Racist ideologies don't know borders.
If you're wondering whether your town was a sundown town?

Check this map.

Shout out to everyone that immediately noticed that most sundown towns were not in the South.

It’s only martial law or fascism when it happens in certain regions. In America it’s just “sparkling militarism”.
Oh but it's not martial law! It's just that my city & a lot of American cities have been under continuous military occupation for a bit.

i listened to a whole michael pollen interview about whether AI could achieve consciousness and it astounds me that a lot of people are quicker to assume AI has consciousness before they think plants or animals do
I find this question about whether chatbots are “alive” to be truly, truly boring. You can torture a definition of “life” so that it includes chatbots or you can listen to actual, unequivocal flesh-and-blood people talking about harm it does them *right now*.

A daily reminder that we are very much still in the thick of the Colonial Era, and that any attempts to argue otherwise are an invention by colonizers to continue their colonizing with as little resistance as possible

This part. The country through messaging irl and in media tells every immigrant that comes here to stay away from black people if they want a shot.
The hate isnt even their own.
Colonist proxy wars is a GREAT correlation
EXACTLY. Like so much of the anti-African American sentiment came directly from immigration officials explicitly telling new immigrants to separate themselves from us if they wanted a shot at the American Dream, and like, while they shouldn't have fallen for it, it absolutely deserves mention.
For me, I don’t think we’re uniquely xenophobic in the same way I don’t think the anti-Blackness they display is uniquely theirs.

I feel as if diaspora wars are just proxy wars for colonizers and white supremacy.
