“I don't see any plan, any strategy, any end game,” says Pat Parenteau, a professor of environmental law at the University of Vermont. “I don't see anything from this administration, just fuck everything up as much as you can. You can print that.”

Sounds accurate to me.
The Fight Over US Climate Rules Is Just Beginning

This is a national tragedy and I am absolutely heartbroken. I join all Canadians in standing with the people of Tumbler Ridge. I send my condolences to the families and friends of those killed in this horrific event, and I am praying for a quick recovery for those injured. (1/2)

Sarah Hoffman, you always draw such community engaged folks to the cause.
It was great to wrap up last week meeting with Caelen, a MacEwan University social work student on practicum in my colleague MLA Lorne Dach’s office. I first met her when I visited her Gr. 6 class. We had a thoughtful conversation about the issues impacting our community.

They’re taking children from Minnesota and locking them up like criminals in detention camps in Texas.

For the love of God, send our kids home and bring an end to this nightmare.

I was in the House of Commons this week, speaking out against Danielle Smith’s latest attacks on public health care.

People are already tragically paying the price.

Protecting health care is the federal government’s job. They have to step in before other conservative premiers copy follow her lead.

The UCP didn’t run on leaving Canada, but Danielle Smith’s rolled out the red carpet for a divisive vote on it.

I’m proud to stand with my colleagues in Alberta’s New Democrats & say I’m a proud Albertan & proud Canadian who rejects separatism.

Are UCP MLAs able & willing to do the same? #abpoli

Gregory Bovino must also be fired.

I don’t make a habit of listening to speeches out of Davos, but this is genuinely one for the history books: a clear-eyed acknowledgment that the old international order was partly a fiction and is now a lie, and a call to act collectively to build resilience and sovereignty in the face of hegemony.
Seriously, WHEREVER you are in the world, I recommend watching all of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s powerful & already famous speech at Davos.

Can’t underestimate its leadership importance.

Key line: “Middle powers must work together, because if we’re not at the table, we’re on the menu.”

This isn't just bad news for our auto industry — it’s a blow to American workers.

And it's only happening because Donald Trump is pushing our allies away by chasing vanity projects like annexing Canada and Greenland.

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.
