I've been in Chicago for a week and the only lawlessness I've seen is on the streets. Everyone here seems to make up their own rules on the roads. This explains why traffic in Des Moines has been getting progressively worse the last 10 years.

Why has no news outlet been able to independently confirm that Dr. Roberts had a "final order of removal" in their coverage of the story? Why are we only hearing this from ICE? Each article acknowledges the gun charge from Erie and has found proof of it (minor as it is), but nothing on the removal

I can't comprehend how people are waking up each day and not instantly being overcome with despair. They just...go about their lives worrying about normal life stuff. It feels surreal in the way that grief often does: you're in a daze but have to keep going to work & cleaning the house and existing

I think…I have complex thoughts about all of this. I don't like that this is a another event in a line of bad events full of assassinations and street brawls, and government crackdowns

Today is a sign of how deeply horrible it is to be in the US right now. I have never, EVER, believed in using violence in any scenario; fuck, you can rob me blind and I won't raise a finger. But my reaction to today's news was to just shrug and think "maybe Karma's catching up to him."
