It felt so weird in 2019 knowing Akira and Bladerunner were set then.
I haven’t watched Her yet because it felt too creepy, but I think it’s time in the last weeks of 2025.

It’s wild that “respect children” is a radical position. It’s not surprising that it is in authoritarian cultures, but it’s still so absurd. And painful.

I could be wrong (I frequently am) but most people who call out racism, transphobia, ableism, and other prejudices, at least in my experience, aren't trying to cancel anyone.
They're asking for accountability. They want us to own our errors and be humble about them. And that's reasonable.
