I woke up today and cried upon reading the news. Now I'm crying again. This loss is incalculable.
I don't even have the words to summarize the impact of David Lynch. He was an artist so singular, his style literally became a point of descriptor for other artists - "Lynchian." His commitment to vision continually proved storytelling...and emotion...don't have to be linear. He changed everything.

Y'all should go follow my friend, James Dean. We've made more than a few movies together, most recently the Santa slasher, XXX-Mas. He's an amazing friend with the kindest heart and a killer wit.

I made a tiny little gummy ramen meal! It was harder than I expected but fun! It had a variety of flavors, the pudding was mango, the broth and noods were cola, the insides of the gyoza and spring roll were little sour pellets. It was good!

The Blair Witch Project is an incredible movie that no equivalent effort has touched. The three people who made it what it is were screwed out of the money and recognition, and it was non-union, so basically no recourse. It's a bad memory for them. That's how it is on this bitch of an earth.

Writers like to say things like "The idea just popped into my head fully fleshed out and ready to go" but that isn't the truth. We dwell on the initial idea for so long that we get mentally congested and have to get it down on paper so our brains can breathe again.
