I won't pretend I've listened a TON, but this is my sense of the issue with Joe Rogan: It's less that he has some calculated right-wing agenda he's pushing, and more that he's a credulous meathead who will blithely nod along to guests spouting absolute gibberish.

As the US skips the UN climate conference, slashes science, and steers into pollution, China is going hard with solar, and selling tons to the many countries that prefer to live in reality rather than deny it.

The core problem is institutionalized moral hazard: Democrats have taught MAGA Republicans that extortion works. The the MAGA bloc learns they can get policy concessions through brinkmanship without any doubt about Democratic Party Choosing not to effectively fighting back.
