I finished paying off my undergrad and med school debt when I was 55, leaving me a whole 12 years to get something put away for retirement.

Global warming has made January worse. It was always the coldest moth in the Northern hemisphere, but it used to be it would start getting a little bit nippy in September. You had months to acclimate. Now it's like margarita weather on Christmas then January's like, "Surprise, bitch! Wintertime!"

In your experience, think about how limp and simplistic the average political encounter with a fellow American is in these awful days. And realize that half of our citizens are more hollow and incapable than even that.
