You’re describing an emergency. The world is also watching you and waiting for you to do something.

Are you going to establish an eviction moratorium? Rent is due today.
They’re taking kids from Minnesota and sending them to detention camps. They’re shooting American citizens in the street and locking investigators out of the crime scenes. The world is watching what happens next.

Great 🧵🧵
The Trumpists will continue to escalate. But in Minneapolis, we can see the limits of MAGA’s assault.

Trump’s authoritarian desires are limitless. But his ability to impose them on America is not.

My new piece for @zeit.de - and some thoughts, since it is in German (gift link):
US-Regierung: Wie der Widerstand gegen Maga eine Chance hat
Der Minneapolis-Moment offenbart die Schwächen der Trumpisten. Und er zeigt, wo der Widerstand gegen den US-Präsidenten in Zukunft erfolgreich ansetzen kann.

The guy in charge of vaccines doesn't like the term "established science"

We're going to wipe out a generation of kids under this unqualified GOP regime.

We're going to lose progress on vaccines for cancer and other viral illnesses that kill all ages.

One of the men who was very clearly up to his neck in Epstein-scale evil is also the proud owner of a machine designed to facilitate instant production of non-consensual porn & CSAM - a machine used by ~250 million ppl a day. Every one of those users confirms for Musk that he's getting away with it.

The group bike ride for Alex Pretti is about to depart in Minneapolis, stopping at his memorial, then Renee Good’s, and finishing at the VFW. If you can join, hop on anywhere. It’s a warm 17° & sunny!

I’ve never seen this many cyclists for a group ride. ⚡️✊🏽⚡️🚲⚡️✊🏽⚡️ #RIPPretti

We can't prosecute meth dealers because Stephen Miller hates brown 5 year olds.

A fun thing to hear repeated at press conferences: "Why would this administration rather murder observers than prosecute meth dealers?"
Shit is nuts. This week I spoke to a crim. defense attorney from mpls who mostly does federal work. He said a client got arrested with 19 pounds of meth & an indictment was coming. Then the feds had to forgo the indictment because they don’t have the resources. Walking away from 19 pounds of meth!
They are running out of lawyers.

Jeffrey Epstein sent a link to the white nationalist podcast The Right Stuff, whose core hosts played an active role in the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally. He did so in February 2016. Before TRS made national news, really.

Genuinely bizarre.

If you go to your caucus on Tuesday, there's a preference ballot for governor. (Entirely non-binding.) I'm pretty sure it's just a blank slip, and there will be a list posted of declared candidates. You can ABSOLUTELY write in someone who has not declared, such as EMQ.
