They depend on places “falling apart” to stay in power. And to ensure a place is “falling apart” you must deny people basic services and dignity.

It’s amazing.

I see it in the South all the time. It’s a dump so…they vote them back in??

"No politics at the dinner table" is for white-knuckling a holiday meal with people you see once a year without being The Granddaughter Who Ruined Thanksgiving.

But for actually raising your son to care about other people and understand the world around him with empathy, it's actively destructive.
I come back a lot to the idea that "no politics at the dinner table" was harmful and let this kind of shitty ideology fester undiscussed

@kare11.bsky.social 😱 you're making it sound like "natural" "healthy choices" are just as good as vaccines and masks in preventing illness

The DFL is a shitshow and I'm dedicated to doing my part in fixing it over the next year because if they don't get their shit together, we are going to lose and my life and home in Minnesota will be at risk.

If you're mad about this shit like me, help me out with this organizing effort.

This is genuinely frightening. Nothing good can come of us being trapped inside this country
BREAKING: The Supreme Court granted the Trump administration's request to enforce its discriminatory passport policy while our lawsuit makes its way through the courts.

This decision undermines the freedom of transgender, non-binary, and intersex people to have our IDs reflect who we are.

Excellent and infuriating thread. Forcing people back to work when they can work remotely is a huge problem and a lot of people are losing jobs because of it when they should not have to.

Jane is also possibly eligible for CFC Together Forever, a permanent foster program, where the shelter helps cover medical costs.

Sponsors make that program possible so even if you can't adopt Jane you can support cats like her with your recurring donations:

A significant aspect of SNAP benefits ending I haven't seen much mention of, is the fact that it is incredibly hard to attend to things like social organizing and collaboration when you're trying to survive without food, healthcare, etc. This is a repressive tool.
