As someone with a strategically ambiguous relationship to Anglo-Catholicism,
Well yes, the Epstein case should force you to abandon that approach to conspiracism altogether

My greatest personal conspiracy theory is that Putlocker and 123movies and Lookmovie and etc. are actually run by state-actors, not individual pirates

Q: Pope Leo cited Matthew 25:35 to critique Donald Trump's mass deportation agenda. How would you respond to Pope Leo in scripture?

MIKE JOHNSON: Sovereign borders are biblical and right and just. It's not because we hate the people on the outside. It's because we love the people on the inside.

This is counterintuitive but something that would make my job much less annoying as a church staffer would be to have MORE meetings. Without meetings, people come up with ideas and then get mad when I don’t accept their ideas. But I already am doing something for that. I didn’t need your idea. Sorry

I can’t stress this enough. The state of 4th Amendment law is that the cops can’t force you to type in a passcode but they can force you to swipe your finger or present your face. Never stop using passcodes/passwords to unlock your devices. And consider additional code to unlock Signal.
The FBI was able to access Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson's Signal messages because she used Signal on her work laptop. The laptop accepted Touch ID for authentication, meaning the agents were allowed to require her to unlock it. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...

I think a surprising number of parents are like pet owners who are excited to get a new pet and then grow bored with it and stop investing time and energy. They just like mentally check out as the kids go through elementary school

i never dreamt that the illicit financial technology designed to avoid scrutiny could be used for *bad* criminal purposes
I’m sorry but what did libertarians think that the anonymous money laundering racism coin that you could only functionally use for illicit activity was doing other than this, exactly

Liam Ramos gets to meet the pilot and visit the cockpit on his flight home from the Texas ICE camp

This little boy has become an inadvertent symbol of resistance

A reminder of why we fight

What ICE did to this child was wrong.

May the kindness he receives today help heal the damage.

Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

Astonishing thing for a judge to do.

One thing that surprised me about joining a church with a much more traditional hymnody is that we never sing Amazing Grace. I figured that would be common but I have literally never heard it sung, in the five years I’ve been in TEC, including at funerals
