I think that Trump looks at Greenland on a Mercator projection and thinks it’s HUGE, so he has to have it.
As a cartographer I can tell you that we hate the use of the Mercator projection as a general use map. The Peter (Gall) projection is just as bad. Compromise projections/globes are best.

Yes, I am fine with all the other supernatural and sci-fi stuff, but this is so hard to believe that it takes me out of the story.

I still don’t get why soviet soldiers would be wearing uniforms and carrying clearly Soviet weapons in a secret base under an American shopping mall.
I fist assumed there was some portal they stabilized. But it seemed they just shipped everything over.

It’s what it was for us. That and telling our daughter and her friends that, yes, we had freedom to go anywhere and stay out till dark and other genx tropey stuff.
Then there was the whole red scare 2.0 and satanic panic that got DnD banned at our school. lol

I am sure there is a list online that puts everything in order. I’d like to try it too, but reserving the right to skip terrible episodes or movies.

I need to find more time to read. I think Grad school killed reading for me, then working remote for 11 years where I would put in 60 hours a week (salaried) left me no time. lol

It starts young. In the 80s my wife and her sister were told by their grandfather to make their cousins’ beds while visiting because it was women’s work. They just looked at each other and laughed.
I met the cousins recently— thankfully they did not turn out like those guys.
