The fact you don't recognize some vandalism as violence clearly shows you either have never been in a protest where this has occurred or you are one of those idiots that thinks it's fine to endanger others by inciting a police response to a peaceful march by smashing up shit. In either case, GFY

cynically use a crisis to increase personal branding? surely this has never happened
when you remember that stancil had a failed campaign for public office, you should understand that that hasn't stopped his political ambitions

he's moved his efforts over to another means of getting into a position of influence and authority

Liberals get really upset when people say both parties are the same, but no one argues that they're the same as effectively as the Democrats.
By a vote of 58-39, the Senate confirmed the nomination of Aaron Christian Peterson to be United States District Judge for the District of Alaska. Democrat Senators voting aye: Duckworth, Durbin, Hassan, Kaine, Kelly, Shaheen, and Whitehouse. Senators not voting: Crapo, McConnell, and Murphy.

As a libertarian our closest allies are Communists and Anarchists but communists will always choose the commune over the individual and anarchists don't believe in community 🤷🏾‍♂️

The problem with continually accepting the least worst option is they have no motivation to change & actually offer voters ANYTHING, rather than their donors. And so the cycle perpetuates. The right move further right to distinguish themselves & the New Deal long since rotted

sex pests bring on sex pestilence, which ruins the sex harvest, which creates a sex famine, which places pressure on the sex politicians, which leads to sex brinkmanship, which spills over into sex war, which can only result in mass sex death. such is the tragedy of the four horseman orgy.

bound by what, exactly? because there are exactly zero laws about party primaries, Emma
They defended their legal right to not get sued over having superdelegates in 2016, and then they got rid of the superdelegates to reinforce the public confidence in a democratic primary process.

It is a binding democratic primary process, I dunno what to tell you.

"what if someone steals your song?"

steal? if our needs are met, what makes you think we would still SELL our music?

"what if some corporation uses it to--"

then kill the corporation. problem solved

gonna put it simple in replies for the capitalist pigs that don't get it:

as a musician we would vastly prefer a reality where our needs are met and we release music because we want to share it rather than us putting out songs we hate just because we need the extra income. that okay?

What really cracked my egg was this post

Harris was literally foisted upon us by outside forces just two years ago, and there was blatant fixing of the primaries to put forward Biden in 20 and Clinton in 16

but yeah, sure, the primaries are totally not designed to put a thumb on the scales 🙄

This is… not true. Famously the DNC has foisted very many candidates upon the voters. The internal machinery of the party is entirely inaccessible to voters.

All it took was a few phone calls from Obama in 2020 to coronate Biden - who was famously polling/campaigning terribly among voters.

I live here....the cops are attacking and brutalizing us alongside ICE. They have done absolutely nothing to combat ICE, they are protecting them. The hostility isn't about care for the people. It's an ego thing/wanting to be the top authority. They are on the same side.

We get our ideas from our environment and the people around us and we share them back into it. I think we have really individualized innovation and art to a point where it’s been mystified as this thing an individual is solely responsible for. This is a product of class society
