In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.

Two @ij.org clients are citizens who were arrested & @propublica.org found 168 more.
Plus, we have witness statements from others who--like most of the citizens caught up by Noem's tactics--didn't have their arrests recorded so they didn't make the news.

It's like our signs from "No Kings" -- "unpaid protestor," "I hate him for free." Anybody who'd join ICE doesn't need the $50K come-on. They'll put a knee on a man's neck from sheer love of the game.

@govpritzker.illinois.gov, @jbpritzker.bsky.social How about it, Governor? Constituents like me are waiting for your response. If you are genuinely committed to free peaceful protest, you have to put the ISP on the sidelines at Broadview -- not standing shoulder to shoulder w/ ICE & CBP.
Gov. Pritzker has said all the right things, but now he needs to act and get these state troopers out of there.
A protester with a mobility aid (cane) was sitting in the road. Illinois state troopers dragged them to the grass and arrested them.
