They’re running Under Milk Wood as originally broadcast, for the first time, this weekend on R4 Extra. Obviously, it’s brilliant. And I highly recommend a listen. It still sounds amazing; truly timeless. The most dated bit is the credits - but, oh, those character names.

Chris Mason is what happens when a Hospital Radio DJ, whose sole qualification appears to be a sort of soporific inoffensiveness, is somehow promoted to BBC Politics Editor - a position that demands unflinching insight, objectivity, and sharpness. It's like a puddle trying to be the ocean.

Westminster’s called the shots for too long... but Scotland’s been watching.
They said staying in the UK kept us in the EU.
They said energy would be cheaper.
They said we were a union of equals.
Enough talk. It’s time to banish Westminster.

Far from cutting energy bills as they promised, the Labour government is hiking the bills of Scots to pay for nuclear plants in England.
In Scotland, we have vast renewable resources - and with the powers of independence, we can use them to lower bills.

The Scottish Parliament has just overwhelmingly passed our historic Land Reform Bill - putting more power in the hands of the people, not large landowners.
