I was delighted when Steve Clarke phoned and I can exclusively reveal I’m playing in midfield alongside 12 of my colleagues. Steve is a good guy, the Rev I M Jolly with a wicked sense of humour, and he will get the job done. I might be 65, but I’m 18 in spirit!

As long as Labour keep arguing this way, Labour is absolutely f***ed! They could call a referendum on rejoining the EU, but Starmer doesn’t have the conviction to do it.

George Benson and Carlos Santana jamming is sensational!
George Benson’s “Breezin’” peaks at #63 today in 1976.

“I didn’t think I should record it,” he said. But composer Bobby Womack, assisting in the studio, “came in and he went, ‘Da-da-da-da-da-da-da DUH-daaa!’ .. I went with that little change to the melody. It made all the difference in the world.”

Congratulations to Grampian Hospital Radio, which has just been given the King’s Award for Voluntary Service. The station offers an eclectic 24/7 schedule for patients in NHS Grampian hospitals. I visited them earlier this year and it was a blast! www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/lifestyle...

If that happens, Labour’s hopes of achieving anything, let alone being re-elected, are net zero!
Verdict of one Labour grandee I just bumped into: “Ed Miliband is the person most likely to be the most next Prime Minister”.

The soft pedaling language being used to describe the men in the Epstein files is enraging.

They didn’t “have sex with underage girls”.

They raped them.

Sex implies consent.

The survivors deserve better than this. Use the correct language. Say what these men did.

Because it’s being run by a PM and chancellor who are no more Labour than some of the Tories they welcomed into the fold. They have no vision, no big ideas, no coherent strategy and no left-leaning instincts. And they can’t even handle basic communication. None of this is a surprise, by the way!

I think this is the beginning of the end for Trump and not a day too soon. He and his MAGA crowd demanded the release of the Epstein files before the election last year, but now, even some of his supporters are inching away from him. He can scream like Violet Elizabeth Bott, but he’s toast!
Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released emails suggesting that President Trump knew more about Jeffrey Epstein’s activities than he has acknowledged.

Here's a look at what the emails show. nyti.ms/48aa1Uu

This is full of mildly astonishing revelations about right-wing influence at the BBC, but foremost among them is the fact that he was advised that writing for the New Statesman was effectively unacceptable but doing so for the Spectator was fine - indeed, advisable. I am flabbergasted.
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.
