In 2014 one of the biggest reasons people vote NO to Independence in Scotland was the fear of being "dumped out of the EU" and "currency".
Almost 10 years later and as Scots watch the carnage in London post brexit, the 62% who voted remain in 2016 are leaning towards indyref2.

Ive lost count of the amount of times a WM government have ‘vowed’ or promised 🏴 they’ll make our lives better.
The only way they’ll do that is by agreeing to Indyref2

We we've had a @snp & @scottishgreens.org coalition government and it didn't bring us #indyref2, infact it was detrimental. We need a majority SNP government, and a blanket SNP 1 & Greens 2 will not give us that. The list votes are crucial and we need to vote smarter.

As someone who has been vocal about SNP1/SG2 for several years I have now been listening to both arguments, and it is clear the only way we get #IndyRef2 is with an SNP majority

We MUST get a @snp.org majority government in 2026 with a mandate for Indyref2. The ONLY way that can be achieved is if all indy supporters give both votes to the SNP and mirror 2011 👍

More than half of Scots want #IndyRef2 — not because of flags or slogans, but because their wallets got thinner and their future got smaller under Westminster. Energy wealth stolen, exports crippled, wages stagnant. Independence isn’t rebellion — it’s economic self‑defence.

Sidenote, as much as I get /why/ those who think this is persuasive quietly hope for Reform to perform well, in the real world all that means is that unionism will be ceded to racists and all I can say is that as a Nat I think that's step one of us winning indyref2.
I think it's very funny how English lefties think that "you're just as bad as us" is going to persuade anyone to stay in the union. We're just going to ignore you harder for being annoying.

The Windsor Framework is helping reduce the damage of brexit on NI but is clearly not a long term fix.
NI leaving the UK to re-join EU with Ireland looks certain now, because of brexit.
That brings an end to UK Union and a stark choice for London i.e. indyref2? An indy Scotland can join EU.
