Bad Bunny's historical advisor is an assistant professor at UW-Madison.

Hell of a flex for your tenure file.
Not at all surprised to learn that Bad Bunny has a historical adviser. His halftime show was a reminder that our history and culture are deeply intertwined with the rest of the western hemisphere. We should think of his performance as part of #America250. #SuperBowl

Pop star Bad Bunny needed a Puerto Rican history scholar. UW–Madison had just the one.
Bad Bunny collaborated with UW–Madison history professor Jorell Meléndez-Badillo on Puerto Rican narratives that accompany the new album “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS.”

There are a lot of folks in their 20s & 30s who need to learn more about cooking & are making basic errors, so here’s a Cooking Basics 101 thread while I make some refried beans.

Stove dials go between, say, 1 and 10. Use them. Some things need cooking slowly. Some fast. It changes everything.

I don't know what to tell you. You can't sit at a piano for the first time ever and play a sonata. You can't pick up a tennis racket for the first time and serve a 110MPH Ace.

You have to fuck up.

You have to be able to handle failing.

You have to love it enough to not get it right and keep on.

Ep 301 of Leverage Redemption S3 had a villa in France full of evil billionaires colluding to pillage trillions in public goods who were keeping a small town activist in the basement until they could execute her led by a guy who admired Putin, and we did not, in fact, go hard enough. Apologies.

Pretty thin piece but spot on.

"As Canada faces another year of uncertainty and its most serious challenges since the Second World War, Prime Minister Mark Carney would be wise to employ a much stronger communications strategy to bring Canadians on board in a 'far more substantive way."

1/2
Carney needs a much stronger communications strategy with Canadians at this hinge moment
Canadians are worried, and the prime minister should be communicating more clearly and more regularly with them.
