Excuse me for stating the obvious, but the GOP's defense of the Minnesota shooting - which is on video for *everyone* to see - really is that 1984 quote writ large:

"The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command."

FWIW out of curiosity I googled how old Casey Hudson is and AI generated result at the top’s best guess was “20s or 30s” so I’m
in no rush to chat with it.
IDK man if someone I was gonna work with had an extensive history of talking to an LLM I would see that as a gigantic red flag but thats just me

And this is why I work in the best place in the world.
I consider it my professional obligation to inflict as much collateral psychic damage on passing web designers as possible.

"I think that each project I make in whatever medium it will be, will largely be unconnected," says Blue Prince developer Tonda Ros.
My favorite game of 2025 won't get a sequel, says its developer: 'Each of my projects will be completely standalone'
"I don't ever plan on making a sequel to Blue Prince," said developer Tonda Ros.

I also find the whole ‘call your senator’ thing as a response deeply depressing. Does that ever do anything? I can’t recall in 10 years here one of them saying “well I was going to do this heinous thing but the the answerphone filled up.”

I genuinely struggle to explain to people back home how useless the dems are.

Mamdani winning feels like the first green shoot of recovery in this long-ass year. All my life I’ve heard these dire warnings of “if so and so wins then all the rich will leave”. Don’t threaten us with a good time. (They never do either.)

it's obviously important that zohran won. but it's equally important that cuomo and the despicable, racist, contemptuous, arrogant, loathesome forces arrayed behind him were brutally defeated. they banked on new yorkers hating and fearing each other. and they lost. what a town.

Commendable of Apple to hire every single recongnisable character actor in Britain to appear in Down Cemetery Road.

I feel like my main metric for measuring the internet is how often I internally say “oh my god please shut the fuck up” while looking at it, and these days it really is please shut the fuck up almost all the way down.

I got broken up with via in-game Scrabulous message. She offered to still finish the game afterwards.
I just, uh, didn't talk to them after an initial period because *social anxietyyy*

Horror tropes that mark a movie out as made by hacks:

* Young couple mourning death of a child is haunted by the manifestation of their trauma
* Child draws ominous crayon scrawls at school
* Crow flies into window as portent of impending doom

(Last one did happen to me and was scary tbf.)

Real opening paragraph in an Official Nintendo Magazine feature

"I once punched my younger brother so hard in the chest that he vomited up that morning's breakfast - cornflakes mainly. It wasn't technically the Heimlich manoevre, as he wasn't choking and I wasn't trying to save him-"

The solo dev behind RPG Sword Hero is promising a 'seamless open world' with amazing combat, intricate simulation, and systemic dismemberment—the demo on Steam makes me think they can pull it off
