I’m glad to see Bill say this. But when after a century of just the type of abuse we saw today - relentless and cruel, ensnaring our children and intimidating our communities - young Black people said in frustration, anger, and demand for change “defund the police” - so many of you denounced them.

It’s great that all these mayors are telling ICE to leave, but how about instructing the police chief to arrest ICE agents who are clearly engaged in illegal activity

When cops kill, police agencies often mislead, exonerate too quickly, smear the deceased, use the exonerative tense, etc.
But there's at least usually some solemnity -- acknowledgement that the loss of life is regrettable.
It's the absolute glee in these responses that I can't shake.

One of my trans friends asked me to let people know that the FDA is now sending out warning letters to companies selling chest binders. They are reclassifying them as "medical devices" which will be impossible for most companies to legally comply with. This is the bare-minimum care for trans adults.

They are reclassifying them as "medical devices" which will be impossible for most companies to legally comply with. This is the bare-minimum care for trans adults.

Hard no to this: French publisher Harlequin has told translators that their work will now be done by AI. They can ‘revise’ AI translations at much lower rate. It’s a subsidiary of Harper Collins so treat this as a test for rollout elsewhere
