Wednesday December 31 2025 we survived 2025! A federal court ruled Trump had to return command of California National Guard troops to Gov Newsom. At the same time Trump announced he will abandon effarts to deploy National Guard troops in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Portland. Trump has repeatedly lost in court on the legality of such deployments. Netanyahu is staying at Mar-a-lago to celebrate the New Year with Trump. This is his 5th visit to see Trump in 2025, and he was in Florida for talks on the next steps for Gaza, but no comitments were made In a hearing transcript released today former special counsel Jack Smith said there is “proof beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump engaged in a criminal scheme to overturn the results of the 2020 election”

Today, Affordable Care Act tax credits expire for 22m people because Trump & Congressional Republicans rammed through a law eliminating them.

That means, on average, premiums will more than double.

Trump & his cult are making life worse, less healthy & more expensive for everyone.

The Post's findings show that at least 5.2 million kindergarten-age children in the U.S. are living in counties where vaccination rates for classrooms have fallen below the herd immunity threshold — up from about 3.5 million before the pandemic. While the vast majority of those who receive the measles vaccine are protected from severe illness and death, without herd immunity measles can still spread among those not immune, including those who cannot be vaccinated because of age or because they are immunocompromised. Out of the 44 states reporting county-level rates, 36 and the District of Columbia also reported them for individual schools or districts. At least 19,000 schools - nearly half of schools in the Post analysis - were more vulnerable to outbreaks. The share of U.S. counties where 95 percent or more of kindergartners were vaccinated against measles - the number doctors say is needed to achieve overall protection for the class, known as "herd immunity" — has dropped from 50 percent before the pandemic to 28 percent, according to The Post's examination of the public records from 44 states and the District of Columbia. The number of parents questioning vaccine safety in Anita Chandra-Puri's Chicago pediatric practice has doubled in the last few years, she said. Many of them are highly educated, but they keep coming across misleading information on social media, she said. Across schools in Chicago, the measles vaccination rate has dropped 6 percent on average since the pandemic. "They have access to every resource, and they think that they can become the expert at something because they've seen it multiple times" on social media, Chandra-Puri said. The Associated Press has confirmed the CIA bombed a dock in venezuela, escalating Trump’s attacks from sea to land in the "special operation". Congress has not authorized use of force against Venezuela.

Monday December 29, 2025 Israeli PM Netanyahu met Trump today in Florida at Mar-a-Lago, but gave no details about next steps in the Graza peace plan. This week rain and cold have meant damaged buildings have collapsed and water logged tents leave many at risk for death due to exposure. Aid supplies are not being allowed in at the scale needed, and aid workers have warned that catastrophic conditions continue to get worse. Flu season is in full swing with wastewater showing viral levels of flu and RSV are high. In NY flu levels are at the highest level in two decades with hospital data showing high severity levels.

While there were no breakthrough actions, they characterized it as a great meeting, with Ukrainian and European priorities discussed including security guarantees that would be needed for a peace deal. Putin has been bombing Kiev making this a very active conflict. Virginia resident Brian Cole Jr confessed in court papers to planting pipe bombs outside the DNC and RNC headquarters January 5, 2021. He believed the election was tampered with and wanted to “speak up”

Saturday December 27, 2025 The Korea Polar Research Institute launched a 2 month expedition to the Thwaites Glacier to learn about how its melting could impact the rate of Antarctic ice melts and global sea rising. 40 scientists and a New York Times reporter are on the ship, as a US funded research vessel was decommisioned by Trump, and if the Thwaites Glacier (known as the Doomsday Glacier) melts it alone could raise seas 2 ft, but if it collapsed and the larger ice sheet melted it could cause a 10-15 foot sea level rise. Some crevices in the ice are as big as the Empire state Building, making research dangerous.

Friday December 26, 2025 Lick Observatory, the University of California's research unit and telescopes on the peak of Mt Hamilton was damaged after 114 mile per hour winds blew off a multi ton shutter on the great refractor dome, which crushed several Structural beams. The telescope wasn't damaged but it is now exposed to wind and rain, and will be closed for months to repair it. Zelensky will visit Trump on Sunday on talks regarding plans to end the war with Russia, as Russia launched strikes at Kiev
