I have meandered over here from Elmo's Hellscape.
Sarcasm is my jam.
I like to use the f word a lot.
Uh... Why does this feel like a job interview?
Stop pressuring me.
See out there on the field, kids.

If you're a business owner who fires someone you have assigned to an overseas job and you don't buy them a plane ticket home you should actually go to prison
Former Washington Post journalists have launched a GoFundMe to help repatriate fired staff members who are effectively stranded in foreign countries.

One of the richest men in the world fired them from the paper and didn’t even pay to ensure they got home.

The House will be structuring the SAVE Act as an amendment to a Senate bill, so that the Senate doesn’t have to deal with a debatable motion to proceed.

But you can filibuster a motion to proceed even if it’s nondebatable, such that it becomes necessary to use cloture:

CORRECTION: Judd Stone is not accused of outlining his asteroid rape fantasy over the course of months, as I wrote. Rather, he allegedly disclosed his asteroid rape fantasy in "excruciating detail" over a "long period of time" during a meal with federal judges, governor staff and NGO workers.

I am being dead serious. Judd Stone allegedly talked about this asteroid fantasy so often that the agency's No. 2, Brent Webster, discussed it with him and, later fearing for his and his family's safety, consulted with other top officials in the AG's office.

Absolutely right. Democrats backed a national ban on gerrymandering while Republicans pushed their advantage in key states. This evens things up but also draws us closer to real reform.
on the balance i think partisan gerrymandering is bad but the only way it ends is if democrats weaponize it against republicans everywhere they can. wiping out republican lawmakers in blue states might bring the GOP to the table to end the practice.
