Welcome, traveler!

Your host is an aspiring author, with passions for GSRM activism (specializing in Poly and GNC advocacy), gaming, and philosophy.

My intention for the account is to discuss my book more casually, as well as commentary on current events; I'll have a secondary once I re-pub.
Musk. Musk made CSAM. That's the correct way to frame this. Musk instructed his team to create CSAM, by proxy and ignorance. Because they created an entity with power without understanding.

There's a reason its icon is a black hole...

Serious thing for folks to consider is, particularly for marginalized people, Grudges Are Self-Defense. What you may be interpreting as pettiness is probably closer aligned to "You have demonstrated you're not to be trusted." And knowing who REALLY has your back is more important that ever.
I feel in my bones that the wave has started to crash back in and Certain People/Companies who thought they were safe to abandon everyone they’d been pretending to care about will suddenly realize that those people have money/power and I, for one, will be holding a grudge until the end of time 💜

smash players will say stuff like "sonic is designed to annoy you" and then they'll go on to say he has a badly designed moveset, like bro have you seen sonic his entire fighting style in his own series is being an annoying little rat fuck so he can get eggman's mech to punch itself in the face

The AI bullshit has made me genuinely think harder about human effort into things, and the artistry involved. It killed whatever gatekeeping shit I hadn't yet worked through.

Because this? Someone could've done some stupid AI thing, but did this instead. Beautiful, stupid, and sincere.

Yes.

One of the most obnoxious things about the contraction of American spending money is that nothing is ever fucking open.

Especially since a lot of those low pressure jobs are/were staffed by disabled folks, and they have third spaces to a lot of kids...

If I may say one final thing on this:
Myself/others are so frustrated with the general English-speaking reaction to this remake of ~Sword and Fairy 4~ because it's a lot like someone from the '90s going "There are 7 Final Fantasies? And it's copying BloodNet, which did rendered BGs first? Rubbish."
"This looks just like Clair Obscur"

Got to admit GOG trending worried me.

But this is good news after CDPR keeps making blunders...

May everyone be so content in their life, before long.

May we be victorious over the forces of disruption in our lives, and in our society.

May every cat be so very happy~

I briefly forgot about the existence of wine.

Like, the drink. The grape stuff.

I just absolutely could not parse this character in this book sitting in a restaurant asking about a wine menu, and had to take a moment while my brain spun up.

Sometimes I really worry about my brain fog...

Remember:

When Tylenol was poisoned *by an outsider* and killed people, the company recalled all their products & redesigned them.

When Intel’s Pentium had a bug so obscure it affected 1 in _9 billion_ long division calculations, they recalled their chips.

ChatGPT was made deadly *by its team*.
i don’t see how any of the benefits of chatgpt and other consumer-facing LLMs can possibly outweigh their incredible ability to induce suicides
Adam Raine’s life hurtled toward tragedy soon after he began talking with ChatGPT about homework. Analysis of his ChatGPT account shows how the chatbot became a confidant as he planned to end his life.

I started journaling this year, as I have many years, but this year it took!

Turns out the solution was dark mode and better quality paper texture. Seems obvious in retrospect 😅

And flexibility to miss days.

A page I'm proud of: my Sept - Dec game list!

As many games finished as jan-sept ❤️

I had always assumed this, (once I was old enough to understand the context) and having confirmation feels fantastic.

History of things we love is fantastic shit.
In Zelda 2, a woman appears in each town, beckoning Link into her home. They disappear inside and Link's health begins to refill.

One reddit user recently asked if this scene was *intentionally* suggestive. While that seems very unlikely, I thought I'd look into it.

I'm glad that the idea of buying games from HorseArmorers is so fucking foreign to me. I cannot imagine how badly that would taint my creative process when I already have to actively resist treating my work as a product to be sold.
The anecdote most illustrative to me was someone saying they were doing basic making game stuff with kids and one insisted that it had to have a cosmetics shop to be a game. Their understanding of the art form was the product parts. It's kind of bleak.

I've got ~1100 hours HLTB in my *current* now-playing list.

And that's ignoring replays, social/datenight gaming, exhibitions, idle/iterative stuff, solitaire, boardgame, and gamedev stuff.

Getting depressed in March and replaying PS4/FFX+2 with one of my partners who hasn't seen it? Hot damn.
