This is a significantly better version of the meme that often floats around. We can’t know everything based on bones, but we can know quite a lot. Paleontologists and paleoartists aren’t just guessing!

We have to anticipate that they'll instantly turn our words back against us. We have to make that harder than we have in the past.

If we're screaming NO KINGS NO NAZIS NO BILLIONAIRES

we corner them into being pro-king, pro-Nazi, pro-billionaire.

NO NAZIS.

🚨The Trump administration will be signing an Executive Order later today to ban Transgender people from the military. It also will instruct the DOD to institute a bathroom ban.

They claim it takes 12 months of narcotics to recover from transition surgery, which is absolutely and utterly false.

This whole thread 🧵🪡 is important and goes into detail.
One reason for the choking (aside from the claim being 100% wrong) is that this stuff isn't exactly obscure. Linda Gordon's book on the history of abortion/birth control was a best-seller and won a National Book Award back in 1977.

That strange sound you heard yesterday was 100s of historians of 19th-c North America reading their NY Times and choking as they came across a top Facebook exec's blithe claim that abortion wasn't "politicized" until Roe v. Wade in the early 1970s. www.nytimes.com/2025/01/10/t...

I am greatly amused today by my sweatshirt. There was a sizing mix-up, so I didn't get the right size until after Christmas. It's still a holiday week though, so f it.

Needs flowers today

This old abandoned road leads into and through the park. It's not on any of the maps, but when you find it, you'll never forget it. When conditions are just right, it super blooms with flowers, for miles.
