the only good thing about genAI is that it got me to really love seeing bad art, because I know a person put in time and effort, made themselves vulnerable by showing it to others, and is trying to improve. I value that more than anything now

I need to try even harder to tap into that weird shit out there. Ironically it seems like it was easier to find back when the internet was smaller. Now weirdness is a commercial aesthetic. But not the real stuff, the raw stuff that can't have its fangs pulled out. But it's buried beneath the rest.
