i forgot what i was gonna say but it was real clever/stupid/topical, so please like this anyway
would my reputation as a book designer in the TTRPG industry be ruined if I said rigid grid systems are wildly overrated and (consistent!) vibes are totally fine?

…do i *have* a reputation as a book designer in the TTRPG industry? 😂

And billionaires will ensure that this common knowledge - "taxing really rich people will make things better and not destroy people" - is hotly-debated and ultimately made to feel like some crazy radical opinion.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

For years, MAGA influencers demanded the release of the Epstein files. Now that 20,000 documents have been released, many raising questions about Donald Trump, they're shrugging.

when I was a kid, I didn’t “get” Gil Kane’s work and didn’t like it. but later, after seeing his work inked by John Romita Sr on ASM, I realized how strong his composition and design sense was.

notice, for instance, how hot Star Sapphire is? 😂
Star Sapphire feels hate for Hal Jordan and wants revenge for the loss of her people at the hands of the Guardians.

She travels across the galaxy to the apartment that Hal & Arisia shares with John & Katma and finds Katma all alone.

Sapphire decides one Green Lantern is as good as another.

if Disney wants to let people make fan animated shorts featuring their characters, they could just stop defending their IP! if they want to let people do it in a moderated environment, then offer a fan content license!

how & why does *generative AI* of all things change this equation for them? wtf

Absolutely howling at this track a dad left his daughter on a random and bizarre mix tape he made for her before he died.

Come for the vocals; stay for the final line 🤣 what a wonderful gift to leave her and what a wholesome reaction!

If the balloons are breaking the borders, you're doing it wrong. I have to do my letters at the layout phase, before even rough pencils, because if I don't there is absolutely not going to be enough room for the balloons

‘Nickname’ is not ‘nick’ + ‘name.’

It was originally ‘ekename.’

‘Eke’ was the Middle English word for “also” or “in addition.”

Since ‘ekename’ began with a vowel, people used ‘an’ before it.

Over time, 'an ekename' became 'a nickname.'
